Effective immediately, the College Board announced that its SAT Subject Tests and Optional Essay will no longer be administered. Why? Thanks to the AP Exam's expanded reach and widespread availability, the Subject Tests are no longer necessary for students to show what they know. Likewise, students have more effective ways of showing how they can write as part of the work they’re already doing for the college admissions process.
