IvyWay Founder & President: Joanna De Jesus
Joanna De Jesus is the CEO and Principal Consultant of IvyWay College Admissions & Financial Aid Consulting. Her passion towards college counseling began many years ago while attending Smith College as an undergraduate student. At Smith, she was a Gold Key guide providing campus tours for prospective students and their families. After graduation, she continued her work in college admission as the Smith College Alumnae Coordinator for Puerto Rico. As Smith's Alumnae Coordinator, she visited high schools, participated in local college fairs, interviewed and wrote alumnae recommendations for Smith's applicants. After working so many years in college admission from the college side, Joanna now provides the same level of professionalism and expertise that she is known for but, this time, from the applicant's side.
Joanna possesses a BA in Economics from Smith College and a Graduate degree in College Admissions Counseling from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a member of the following organizations: National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC); the Independent Educational Consultants Association, Associate Member, (IECA); the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC); and The Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling (SACAC). She is also a member of the Alumnae Association of Smith College, the Association of Latina Alumnae of Smith College (ALAS), the Smith College Club of Puerto Rico, the Seven Sisters Alum Association and the UCLA Alumni Association. Joanna is fully bilingual in English and in Spanish.
IvyWay Social Media Manager:
Joanna Gonzalez De Jesus
Joanna Gonzalez De Jesus is IvyWay's Social Media Manager. In this role, Joanna is responsible for creating, designing and executing all of IvyWay's Social Media strategy across its many social media platforms. Her passion towards college counseling began during her undergraduate years at Boston University. At BU, she worked at Questrom School of Business' Office of Graduate Admissions as its Office Assistant. In this role, she learned firsthand the intricacies and complexities of recruiting and admitting graduate students to BU's top-ranked MBA programs.
Joanna possesses a BS in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from Boston University. She is a member of Boston University's Alumni Association and BU's Puerto Rico Alumni Chapter. Joanna is fully bilingual in English and in Spanish.
